Q: How do I buy multiple travel tickets, selecting a pick up location and entering the membership number for each traveler?

A: In the shop, pick the game you wish to purchase a travel ticket for.

Select the pick up location, enter the STAR traveler Membership Number, click Add to Bag

Click Continue Shopping, pick the game you wish to purchase a further travel ticket for a STAR member.

Select the pick up location, enter the STAR traveler Membership Number, click Add More

Click Continue Shopping to add another ticket, or when you have added all required tickets, click Go to Checkout to Checkout and Pay.

Q: Why does the STAR online Shop ask for an account email and password and how does this work?

The STAR online shop is set up so that all users are requested to enter a STAR Online Shop Access email and password before being able to checkout. This has been done so that your key information (e.g. Address) is saved in your account and so simplifies repeat purchases. In addition the STAR online shop is solely for the use of STAR members and so this step is included to actively discourage non members from using the shop. The STAR online shop log-in is not connected to Pay-Pal log-in or any other account access (other than remembering your previous activity).

When you click the link to go to the shop, the account log in status is indicated at the top right hand corner above the match travel choices. If it shows your account name - you are logged in (and so you should be able to complete purchases without needing to enter your STAR shop account log-in details again).

If it shows Sign In, then you are not logged into your shop account.

Click Sign In and if you already have a shop account email/password, please enter these to log into the shop.

If you do not have a shop account email/password, please click Create New account and enter an email and password to create a shop access account.

Typically the browser on a device (mobile, table, laptop), will remember the account details when you go back to use the site. But if you use a different browser or device (or the browser has been set not to save or to delete passwords), then the STAR online shop login details (email/password) will need to be entered again before being able to complete a purchase.

Q: How do I cancel a booking if I am unable to travel to a game I have booked travel for?

If you are unable to travel to a game that you have booked coach travel tickets online, please can you advise us as soon as possible prior to the travel match day as below:

• Email your cancellation to us onlinetravel@star-reading.org indicating the people who will not be travelling
• If less than 48 hours before the departure, please ALSO leave a message on the Travel Enquiry line - 07919 931716

For cancellations received earlier than 48 hours before the game we will endeavour (at our discretion) to refund your travel purchase cost.

Q: Do I have to be a member of STAR to travel on coaches organised by STAR?

A: Yes, it is a condition of travel that all travellers, including children, are members of STAR. Membership details are shown further below.

Q: Where will I be able to join a coach?

A: Coaches will start from and return to the Madejski Stadium. However, we are also offering a coach that will pick-up and drop passengers in Reading Town Centre. If you require a seat on this coach please state so at the time of booking. N.B. this coach will not be available to unaccompanied 14-18 year olds.

For matches in the North only, a pick up is provided at Benson under special request at booking (specific conditions apply that will be provided following request).

It is advisable to arrive 30 minutes before departure. There are no seat reservations.

Q: Will I be able to park my car at the Madejski Stadium?

A: It is anticipated that you will be able to park at the Madejski Stadium in Car Park 1, at owners risk.

Q: Is alcohol permitted on the coach?

A: No, it is against the law to carry alcohol on coaches travelling to football matches.

Q: Will you be stopping on route to break the journey?

A: It is our usual intention to break the journey on both the outward and return journeys, but it is at the absolute discretion of the coach drivers who have to abide by the law and their company regulations over breaks. The coaches used will have a toilet (unless it is a very short journey).

Q: How do I join STAR?

A: The simplest way is online through our website here, paying your membership subscription through debit or credit card, but if you are unable to do this, please visit STAR base prior to a first team match and ask for help to join (we can accept card payments, cash or cheque). If you join online you will receive an email indicating your membership number. Please bring this email with you to STAR base when booking a coach ticket in case your membership card is not ready for you to collect.

Q: How much does membership cost?

A: £10 (£5 for under 18s and 65s and over). The membership runs for 12 months from joining new or from your previous expiry date if renewing.
